SPINE PAIN BRINGS PATIENTS TO CHIROPRACTORS

Shocked? Satterwhite Chiropractic isn’t! We see spine pain all day long, but research is designed to document what’s known. In a new study of 363 chiropractic patients, researchers found that there is a large range of conditions that bring patients to a chiropractor, but spine and musculoskeletal pain issues are the main ones: 67% of patients list these as the primary reason to go to the chiropractor and 77% as a secondary reason to visit the chiropractor. (1) Satterwhite Chiropractic’s chiropractic practice certainly welcomes spine related pain conditions and Oxford back pain sufferers!

WHO IS SEEN FIRST WHEN A BACK INJURY HAPPENS?

Chiropractors, medical doctors and physiotherapists are typical providers to see when a Oxford back pain injury happens. What makes a work-related back pain sufferer choose one over the other? Age, income, community size, workplace issues, and prior injury. Longer time at a job, higher personal income, prior similar injury experience and a mixed-manual job seem to drive back pain affected workers to a chiropractor first. (2) Whatever the driving force,Satterwhite Chiropractic is here for work-related Oxford back pain patients with relieving Oxford chiropractic care!

VITAMIN C LEVEL EFFECTS BACK PAIN RATE

“It’s not just for your immune system anymore…” Nope! Vitamin C (ascorbic acid), or rather the lack of it, leads to poor collagen development (necessary for quality ligaments and tendons and bone) and the occurrence of back pain, neck pain, and low back pain with pain below the knee which is known as sciatica or radicular pain. How many people lack a good level of vitamin C? Many! (3) Satterwhite Chiropractic talks with our Oxford chiropractic patients like you about your vitamin C intake and will work with you to elevate a low vitamin C level as needed. Your immune system and your spine will thank you!

CHIROPRACTIC HELP FOR MIGRAINE

A study tracked the possibility of reducing a migraine’s duration and effect and found that both were reduced significantly with chiropractic spinal manipulative therapy. Great news! Now, since these researchers were just really trying to see if they could establish a placebo treatment to compare chiropractic treatment to in a future larger study, they suggest that the effect may have just been placebo. (4) Would a Oxford migraine sufferer care if it’s placebo or not if the pain is relieved and duration is shortened? Satterwhite Chiropractic guesses the answer is “not likely”. Oxford migraine sufferers are invited to try the Oxford chiropractic manipulation Satterwhite Chiropractic offers called Cox Technic for relief.
