“Listen to your elders!” An analysis of over-60 year olds found that 29.2% of them utilized complementary health alternatives in the last 12 months: herbal therapies, chiropractic and massage topped the list. 60% of those folks reported that it was “important” for maintaining their health and well-being. They said that it improved their overall health, and they felt better. They had an enhanced sense of control over their health. They said these types of interventions created an easier way to cope with their health problems.
